Collection and Use of Personal Information

We collect information from you when you apply for a Loan Facility or to become a Unit Holder of East Coast Mortgage Trust (i.e. when you apply to use our products and services).

We will only collect information relevant to our business relationship with you.  The information we collect will include contact details, personal details, financial information and information about your use of our products and services.

• We collect information to enable us to:
• Carry out our business, which includes account management, planning, product development, research and analysis.
• Provide you with the products and services you require.
• Provide you with information about the products and services available to you from Lismore Management Corporation Limited and East Coast Mortgage Trust and our associated businesses.
• Comply with legislative and regulatory requirements and to fulfil our legal requirements.

Providing Your Personal Information to Other Organisations

In providing products and services to you it may be necessary for us to provide your personal information to other organisations with which we conduct business.

These organisations include entities such as our Custodian, Perpetual Trustee Company Limited, our solicitors and legal advisors, our accountants, auditors and financial advisers, our insurers, our panel valuers, conveyancers, our bankers, our computer programmers and computer system providers and government agencies which regulate our products and services.

Your personal information is only provided to those entities to the extent necessary to enable us to provide our products and services to you and to the extent required by law.

Marketing Information

If you consent to us doing so, we may provide you with information from time to time about new products and services available to you from Lismore Management Corporation Limited and East Coast Mortgage Trust, or other businesses with which we have a relationship.

Your consent to our providing this information to you will be implied unless you notify us that you do not wish to receive this information. You may do this by contacting our Privacy Officer and advising them that you do not wish to receive marketing information.

What if you do not wish to provide us with information?

In order to provide products and services to you we require information about you.

If you do not provide us with all of the information we require we may be unable to accept your application for finance, Prospectus application for units in the East Coast Mortgage Trust or provide products or services to you. If you do not provide us with your Tax File Number when investing or depositing money for instance, there may also be taxation implications for you.

Your Rights

Under the Privacy Act you have the right to access most of the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections.  This right is subject to some exceptions, for example you may not obtain access to information relating to existing or anticipated legal proceedings.  You can request access to your information by visiting our offices, writing to us or by telephoning us on (02) 6622 2092.  This service is free unless the information you request requires significant research or preparation time.  Before we act upon requests of this nature, we will tell you how much this service will cost.
